If you’re like most Americans, your daily commute involves sitting in your car, wading through congested traffic to get to work, and then repeating this process going home. That’s a shame, given the health and environmental benefits that active transportation (cycling and walking) and mass transit (trains and buses) can provide us.
Even if you’d rather drive, mass transit and active transportation benefit you and your patients more than you may know. More transportation options mean fewer cars on the road — which means better health, a cleaner environment, and less traffic for everyone.
