Elizabeth Cerceo, MD, DCM, FACP, FHM, FEFIM, is Professor of Medicine and Executive Director of Climate Health at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University and a Hospitalist Attending, Director of Medical Education and Faculty Development in Hospital Medicine, and Chair of Physician Engagement at Cooper University Health Care. She is an internist, medical educator, and advocate focused on healthcare sustainability, climate-health curriculum development, and local, statewide, and national policy efforts. Her grant-funded research includes work on microplastics in lung tissue, environmental justice, healthcare infrastructure vulnerability, and climate-related health impacts. She has authored over 150 peer-reviewed publications and commentaries on climate change, air pollution, microplastics, health policy, medical education, and healthcare sustainability and lectures internationally on these subjects.
