Dr. Fuentes was born and raised in El Salvador, he graduated as a Medical Doctor from Universidad Evangelica de El Salvador prior to moving to Cincinnati, Ohio to complete residencies in Family Medicine and Internal Medicine. He also completed a Pulmonary and Critical Care fellowship at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine and later served as an Assistant Professor and Pulmonary Director with the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine. His unique background and perspective facilitated a deeper focus in providing high quality health care for all minorities within the US and more specifically, Hispanics. He enjoys working with the local Latino communities through their native languages: English and Spanish. As a pulmonologist, he is interested in how climate changes can affect the air quality of specific geographic areas and the impact in the health of people susceptible to these changes, as well as the incidence and prevalence of respiratory diseases.
