Harleen Marwah, MD, MS, is a climate-health leader and pediatrician whose work focuses on climate justice, coalition building, advocacy, medical education, and effective scientific communication. Dr. Marwah serves on the Executive Committee of the AAP Council on Environmental Health and Climate Change. She is the founding chair and current Board Chair of Medical Students for a Sustainable Future, which has supported more than 1,000 trainees across 100+ medical schools. Dr. Marwah has represented health and intergenerational equity at multiple UN climate negotiations, served on the White House Environmental Justice Advisory Council during the Biden administration, and currently serves on the Massachusetts Environmental Justice Council. She also holds editorial roles with the New England Journal of Medicine and is faculty at Harvard Medical School and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
