Vanessa Wong, MD, MS was born and raised in Guam and her family is originally from the Republic of Palau in Micronesia. She is a graduate of the University of Hawaiʻi John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM) where she also completed her family medicine residency and fellowships in medical education and faculty development. Dr. Wong is board certified in Family Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine and is an Associate Professor in the Department of Native Hawaiian Health and the Office of Medical Education at JABSOM. She is the physician lead for ʻĀina Lifestyle, a culturally grounded program integrating lifestyle medicine with connection to the land/environment and conducts group visits at a 100-acre nature preserve cared for by the Federally Qualified Health Center where she began her medical training.
