The Medical Society Consortium on Climate and Health and the Climate, Health, and Informatics Working Group through the American Medical Informatics Association were honored to partner with the NorCal Symposium on Climate, Health, and Equity to host a meeting on climate, health, and AI. The NorCal Symposium is an annual event organized by Stanford, UCSF, and UC Davis, addressing critical climate crisis issues with a focus on solutions.
This year’s symposium explored the role of informatics and AI in enhancing mitigation, adaptation, and resilience to the escalating impacts of climate change. It featured contributions from local community and environmental justice organizations, public health experts, and informaticians, fostering opportunities for cross-sectoral collaboration.
