2024 Annual Meeting Advocates

As part of the 2024 Annual Meeting: From the Clinic to the Capitol, 145 advocates gathered in Washington D.C., on February 13 for meetings with their elected officials. They made their trusted voices heard for stronger air pollution standards that protect the health of their patients, their communities, and the planet.

Representing 30 different states, these climate champions participated in over 140 meetings with House and Senate offices. They asked members to urge the swift finalization of the strongest possible Environmental Protect Agency air pollution rules and to oppose attempts to weaken or delay their implementation.

This Congress and Administration have made significant and historic investments in reducing emissions, but we know there is more to do. There are tremendous opportunities in front of this year for action within our states, Congress, and federal agencies like the EPA. And, as we heard from many of the speakers at the 2024 Annual Meeting, collective action will be critical to achieving this progress.
