DR. ED MAIBACH, DR. MIMI GUARNERI, & DR. HOWARD FRUMKIN
Vatican City, Italy (November 2017) — Three Consortium leaders were speakers at a Pontifical Academy of Science meeting on air pollution, climate change and health. Steering Committee member and cardiologist, Dr. Mimi Guarneri and Advisory Committee member, Dr. Howard Frumkin both spoke about the connections between human and planetary health; Mason 4C director, Dr. Edward Maibach, issued a call to action to health professionals worldwide to lead the effort to educate the public and policymakers about the health impacts of climate change and health opportunities associated with climate solutions.
The Declaration of the Health of People, Health of Planet and Our Responsibility resulted from the data and concepts presented at the workshop: Health of People, Health of Planet and Our Responsibility; Climate Change, Air Pollution, and Health
