Healthy Climate Prescription: What’s Next?

In November 2021, over 600 organizations representing over 46 million health workers, and thousands of individual health professionals signed the Healthy Climate Prescription letter to national leaders and country delegations, calling for real action to address the climate crisis. COP26 fell far short of committing to actions that would truly arrest the warming of the planet, and in 2022 the Health Community must continue to call for action on the greatest health emergency humanity faces – the climate crisis.
The Healthy Climate Prescription is hosting this event to take place on April 12th, convened by the Global Climate and Health Alliance, the World Health Organization, and the WHO-Civil Society Working Group on Climate and Health, to bring together signatories of the Healthy Climate Prescription letter launched last year and sent from the health community worldwide to national leaders around the world.
