Dr. Susan Evans is a healthcare leader determined to bridge the gap between new clinical knowledge and improved patient care. With a passion for empowering and aligning teams, she accelerates clinical practice optimization to address unmet healthcare needs. She has established a Virtual approach to provide Surgical Intensivist access for patients in the most rural settings and has directed the development of a research agenda investigating solutions to healthcare disparities throughout the region. Dr. Evans, and her husband, have personally felt the need of those whose social determinants drive disparities through relationship with their little brother in the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization as well as members of their diverse church. She is in continuous quest for improving health, as much as healthcare, and achieves this in her own life by embracing all things outdoors.
